Gort

Gort is located on the Galway-Ennis road, just north of the Burren. Gort is a recoignised Heritage Town, and its history as the principal market town of South Galway is evident in the fine buildings and quaint 18th century market weigh-house on the main square. There is a strong tradition of Irish Music in the locality and many pubs stage music sessions at night.
