The beautiful village of Clarinbridge, also spelt Clarenbridge, is situated 14.5kms south of Galway City, on the main N18 Galway-Limerick road. It is located at the mouth of the Claren river, and at the head of one of Galway Bay's most easterly inlets, Dunbulcan Bay. Clarinbridge is famous for its annual oyster festival which takes place at the beginning of September every year, The festival has been running since 1954 and attracts both Irish and International visitors.
